j, That blade is a beauty. Long timee to get a reply probably due to not sure what to call it.
There is such a thing as a crecent knife but I'm not sure if it officially fits the standard.

yea sh,that's the cortex.it is a neat color pattern and you should see it close up.i believe it to be archaic.there is a groove on one corner i suppose to be for a handle..?? thanx for the reply!jm
