Hi today my wife, 3 year old son and I went out to chrisners ranch and found one small arrowhead. I was hoping someone would know what kind it is. I have searched through a book I have and on the internet but nothing matches it. This was the first time I have ever dug before so I was very happy to find one. I can see how this can get addictive.

Hard to say but it is a bird point of some sort I would think. Maybe an inch or so? Someone on here with alot more knowledge will be able to help you out.

Re identifying, the pics look like the base was snapped off rather than knapped. Many points were resharpened so the tip would be different from the
books too.
Maybe it would just be easier to go back and dig for a more complete one.
