A few more from our collection

Re: A few more from our collection

wow! those are some really nice points!

Re: A few more from our collection

A centerfold for sure. Thanks for sharing.
Happy hunting. AL.C

Re: A few more from our collection

Awesome examples, must be a great location for the translucent materials & the paleo drill aspect.

Re: A few more from our collection

Slvr, How about an Angostura for that drill ?
In another post on Dusty's finds you were complementing on the Mano. It's nicely shaped but are we sure it's really a mano ? Not much " hand of man " crafting evident.

Re: A few more from our collection

what yall are refering to as a mano i believe it ia actually a geo or geod not sure how it is spelled. it is a fire popped flint rock i believe it is the first stage to make the flint more knappable.

Re: A few more from our collection

Righto on the rock, a nicely proportioned flint nodule.

On that nicely proportioned base tang : maybe it's just a base tang !
Overstreets shows one small example that with a bit of a stretch has similarities to your find .
If you have that 10th ed. book, I'm refering to page 529, G7 from Comanche county.
