That Montell is a classic example of a fire-damaged point. Anytime I hit a firepit here on this site we always find "fire-poxed" points. Over the years some of the surface finds may have been damaged by prairie fires.
I went to Chrisners Monday. Finished cleaning the mud out of that big rock crack, , ,nothing.
Took a short post rain surface hunt also. . .
This is just a look at the type of ground condition, just a busted white thing at the end of stick.
Here's a pile of old throw dozed asside. Insitu at end of stick [ if you can find the stick !
Now zeroing in for the insitu. No wonder the original digger missed it, a very small Darl. I only bothered with these stupid insitus because I was so pleased I could still spot something this small. . .
Dog nose included for scale. . . .
For Chrisner old veterans, ever see water flowing in those beautiful cuts ? Quite a sight and I was treated to the sound of a waterfall the whole time I was working on that rock project.
It was definetly muddy around here. And I dont have too tell you locals how bad we needed it. Sure screwed up the bird hunting for my gang. Here is about 40 we nailed back in one day over labor day weekend.
