Does anyone know if Nacho is still digging at Rolands on the Nueces? Has anyone been there recently and was the dig good? I hear Nacho is operating some sifting tables. Any recent information?

My understanding is that he only dug Rolands that one weekend.

I was there last Tuesday, and Nacho IS digging Rolands. I hand dug for less than 3 hours and found a sweet Perd/Marshall?? and a slightly broken Montell,as well as a good blade and several brokes including a broken c-tang. The site is full of points, and only needs a good sifter dig to reveal the best. Roland showed me several middens and some of his recent finds.I recommend it highly.

My understanding is that Barksdale is permanently closed.
The entire matter can be cleared up with one phone call to Nacho if interested in the screen dig.
Call Roland if interested in the hand dig.
