Re: long earred point need help with ID

I would say Marshall, base isn't deep enough to be a perd in my opinion.

Re: long earred point need help with ID

possibly a Rankin

Re: long earred point need help with ID

It's a Nice One! Whatever it is...

Re: long earred point need help with ID

Its a Marshall.

Re: long earred point need help with ID

Idahodians usually know about these things, I vote with him and the guy from Kendall county.

Re: long earred point need help with ID

I would say marshall. Just has really long ears. Can you post a pic showing the base a bit better?

Re: long earred point need help with ID

Well, Everybodys got a point to make! YES, Pedernales variants do have similar shaped bases on slender versions of that type, however what is missing is the bifurcation/flute which is almost always present. I think the base is more Marshall with the barb ends turning back inwards. Width verses length clearly indicates resharpening from it's original form, however it would appear that the one who reworked it opted for more of a scraping tool use (hafted or not).

Re: long earred point need help with ID
