Anyone know what this is?

I thought Kay Blade, but my much more knowledgable cousin said he didn't think so. Also considered it being a Lange. It is a southern kansas find, but Texas points can sure be found here.

Re: Anyone know what this is?

I'll call it a Williams, if not maybe just a basetang...

Re: Anyone know what this is?

Williams is a good call as it's listed in Overstreet as being as far North as OK.

BUT. . .there is a dead ringer in all aspects in your area of NC in the Overstreet 10th. = DELHI
Division lines and names are not the final judgement, drifting through different areas the book, a few points show great similarity but are a diffent name because of geography.

A very good way to get closer to it's origin is to get to a flint show and show it around to experts.
Experts that are knowledgeable about the type of flint, where is that material common to . . ?

Gorgeous find

Re: Anyone know what this is?

It's Kay County flint. VERY common flint found in okla and kansas. thanks for your opinions, guys.

Well that settles that, either fashioned by the northern Williams family or the Delhi clan OR. . .
