Look at those sparkling after christmas party eyes getting packed up for a wonderful digging day . . . Good luck, , ,Richard had some clearing to do in the area and skimmed the overburden off the area next to the Idaho fire pit. . . Right down to work, Spyder clocked in too. . . Bright eyed & bushy tailed found a rare piece about 25 minutes into the dig, , , Pottery chard, with good decoration. . . Jesse found this really fine needle while we were there. . . Group pic after Drew and his crew took over the old Badger / SH area. Just out of pic on right is Mom ! Just a short shot at metal detecting the area, just found an old fork. End of a happy dig day ZZZZZZZZZZZSNORTZZZZZZZZZZZZ

Great report hal. Nice pottery shard too. Havent seen too much of thats sort around these parts.
Here's my 2 hrs dig, 1 hr metal detect. I gotta remember to check my pockets before these end of day pics, mid section piece and short barbed wire missing. And of course a fork !
Anybody know a bit about CenTx pottery that might give us a clue of age, people or even origin region ? No coil construction visible. Pretty thick, 3/8 ths inch. Blackish material but it was withing a few feet of a small fire pit [ heat charring ? ]
