The report Hal gave me for the trench across from the perd camp was correct. Its pretty much dried up and the throw dirt is a large obstacle to tackle, but time and a backhoe have a way of fixing those problems. Went to the sme spot i have been digging and pulled out this large preform.

I have been digging the same spot about 6 times now. Just about everytime I go I pull something out. If the current layer hold true it has a point about every 3 sq feet or so. Im just waiting to hit the fire pit. I dont know if you know it hal but they are trying to remove the overhang at the perd camp. They are going to attempt to get the goodies at the bottom, under the shelter.
