Ancient Knapping Example

I has previously posted pics of our dig with TJ when it struck me I had a perfect example of a point made from a particular block of flint. In the same load of dirt, the perd and block of flint popped out literally next to each other. I am quite certain the perd was knapped from this very block. I hope you enjoy the pics.

Just wonder how often the core is in the same load as the point and just gets thrown out. That would make a center piece to any collection.

Great before & after illustration. A work of are from a block of stone, sounds like a Michael Angelo
project.

To keep them together, buy the small velcro tabs places like cloth world sells. Make a good paper weight, door stop.
