Re: help on these please found at christners ranch last friday
The "rock" may be a celt, but I don't know much about them. The point could be anything, depending on what layer it was found in. So what layer did it come from?
Re: help on these please found at christners ranch last friday
I would call the tool a side scraper- See Hester and Turner. The point looks like a heavily resharpened Castroville ( fine basal edge work- parallel basal notches)

the arrowhead came from the side of a huge wall i dont know what layer it was but i found the scraper by a cave in tree roots. from a tree that fell a while ago. what would they use a scraper for...?

I think I know where that top picture is. . .if so, Then to the right is where Badger found a couple of complete points many months ago. Also, some people have been doing some fairly recent digging.. . . That translates to good finds, just thinly scattered. !
Stones' a good finding story but without definite evidence of being reworked by the hand of man, it's
just a geofactfossil.

you really think that arrowpoint is a castroville?
There might be another possibility ( also prevelent on the Chrisner Estates ).
