serrated edged item

Photobucket

not certain about this one either but loved the serrated edges...tool or not?

Re: serrated edged item

Any piece that shows that much work was definitly used for something. Since it cant be a projectile it must be a tool.
Because of size, it probably was not used much for Buffalo skinning

Re: serrated edged item

Sh, I agree, lol...it was too small for buffaloes...i was thinking something more precise..perhaps a woman's tool...perhaps for the thinning or cleaning of the hides for the clothing..any guess is good at this point...but i did love the edge on it.
Hubby still would like information about what you think about the "fire pit" area, would you dig there or around it? to me anything, in the pit area...would have to have been imbeded in the animal...so i would think to dig outside of that area.
he has also found remenants of possible manos (sp) he has 5 differnet types...so something was diffently there, now if the wind will just stop blowing for a few days I will post new finds as they come up. He found petrifieded bones with points around it...I may post that later,ok.
