Hi Sandy The piece you have is a classic Thumbscraper. I have hundreds if not thousands of them. I don't see many from down south but up here we have lots and lots of them. I find them from as small as a dime upto three inch's long. They were used to clean and scrape hides,bones,ect. Nice peice Happy hunting

Adrian is correct. Classic small End Scraper. What you think is a ground edge is merely where the original flake energy used to create the ventral surface turned and released it from the parent core. We tend to find those little ones on terminal paleo/early archaic sites where i hunt.
