JIMMINY CRICKET

Just patiently waiting for somebody to find a piece of flint...

An Ensor will do..

Re: JIMMINY CRICKET

Nate, YOU ARE CORRECT. So much so that I took another "for scale" picture of another type of "cricket" very often found while digging.

Photobucket

But so as not to offend all the kids that love the Disney Cricket in Pinoccio, I went with the better looking critter..
Matter of fact, the grasshoppers were imitating Locusts. Really chompin down the greens, so much so I tried to capture them having lunch.......

Photobucket

Just tumbled right out...

Photobucket

Not sure what type to call it, its really thick and came from pretty deep

Mike sits in the shade showing us a nice find. If only the knapper had spent another 3 hours on it, it might have been a base tang !....Lance looks on enjoying the sunshine !

Photobucket

More wildlife for scale, the giant leaping frog
