picture scanning question

From time to time, i see pics posted here from scanners, how do you do it, is it that simple?
I'm tired of my camera & bad pics, i want to try scanning if it's that simple. Is there a advantage to scanning?
thanks for any input!

Re: picture scanning question

Hellooo!!

Scanning works GREAT! You can get GREAT Res. with the scanner and see all the little cracks and crevs!

try it .. Just plop the sucker on a flat bed and scan it then crop just the point!

Works great!

Re: picture scanning question

Hey Michelle, you are a stranger to your own board!
Do i need to put the top down? Hope you are doing well!

Re: picture scanning question

Helloo

IF you can take off the lid go ahead!

What I do is lay the flint on the scanner, then place a piece of WHITE paper over the top of it so the outside light dosen't get in. Gives you a good clean back ground as well.

Sometimes I put a black towel over the points then take the scan. That works pretty well too!

Give it a try then post in here so I can see !

PS: I am ALWAYS here! heh .. Like a overseer! Bahah!
