i get a little excitted

hey hal:
thanks for putting me in my place. you CAN fool me. played with 2 boxes of rocks this weekend and this is what i came up with. strange as it may seem when you are in survival mode you still look for the different or the beauty no matter what.Indian's were no different. or maybe i should say the unusual, or out of place because what i'm about to show you is not natural to tom green co. it was found on my favorite campsite ever. i dont know what to make of it but my belief is it is significant.picture heavy
p.s found within 50 feet of each otherPhotobucketPhotobucketPhotobucketPhotobucketPhotobucketPhotobucketPhotobucket
oh and by the way my thunder bird was a scissortailand iwas lucky enough to catch it inflight.

Re: i get a little excitted

Anything unusual found in a camp was brought there as a curiosity or to try to make something usable out of it, maybe even a trade object. The two stones that have that high polish might be a desert sand effect rather than river tumble. That last mineral looks like the elusive feathered rock

Re: i get a little excitted

that black rock with the white stripes ... man i' have a tray full of those rocks!... my wife really loves those, so she makes rock trays around the house.... that's one of our favorite rocks to look for!.. we have some brown and reds with the white striping as well. but mostly black.... i just cant figure it out... was it a black rock, the white "algae" or something grew over and around it... i mean some of the lines are thick band's to small thread like veins....

anyone more familiar with those types of stones?

thanks chris...
