searching in rocky terrain...?

Does anyone have any tips for hunting for points in rocky terrain? I assume I don't need to dig... but I don't know. There are also some natural rock holes on my land... should I look inside?

Anyplace is worth investigating. A thing about sinkholes is there are centuries of accumulated debris at the bottom so just dropping in for a look wont find any artifacts, D E E E P digging is called for
