whats the safe way to clean an artifact thanks in advance

Re: cleaning artifacts

When I clean them I just use a little bit of water and clean gently with a soft tooth brush.

fill up a cheap plastic tray or bowl of water and let them soak.1 it magnify's the artifact and shows the detail.2 when you decide to put the finishing touches on them what doesn't come off doesn't need to come off. what eric said a soft toothbrush. some like michelle according to hal and herself don't like to wash them at all. michelle i was refering to that killer langtry you found at nacho's with that beautifull coloration. i was afraid you were never going to wash that piece. soooo glad you did and if its not a burden i would love to see that piece at digfest, under glass ofco****.i previewed this message and that's the first time i've been bleeped.

Re: cleaning artifacts

Re: cleaning artifacts

It's impossible to please EVERYBODY

Ancient scale is good for most but for the clean look people, soak in vinegar ( the 9% salad mix )

We await to see pics of the latest Badger,,,,unwashed...washed point found at Chrisners. We think it's a Wells

All of the digging action has been at the "PERD CAMP " in the Paleo Valley. Just look for all the reasonably fresh digs. I cant nail it down any closer or it would be dug out before you or I get back there
