ok this is an old eye sore, lol but tried the differnet way of photographing it with Pat's idea, had a heck of a time with hubby as he was scared of it falling out of the paper holder I made...**** collectors.are a bit picky hahaha!!!!!
Hubby is trying to get something that looks like the one with the magnifying glass...not sure what more can be done for it, I thought the ones I have shown have been pretty good.(just my opinion, I guess, hahahaha!!!!)
hubby still can't send it in you guys.. I have had it packed I don't know how many times, he was the same way with his stamp collection. So maybe one day now that he has it back out I can sneak it out of the house.
we been told it possibly a "Basin agate" with a magnifying glass you can see that it looks like agate and it has the hardness of agate, that is why hubby is not satisfied with the photos he says it doesnt show the shadowing of the agate inside...I have posted a lot of photos of this before and i dont know what else to do to mkae it show itself. The black picture of it, it was mounted with clear tape to a piece of black paper, hubby about sh-t when i picked the paper up to hold it in front of the light but the other one with the magnifying glass is one of the most natural photos I have taken of it. The color in real time is a light root beer color but when outdoors with it is clearer. any light, bleaches out the color.
As I have said before, when he can handle it leaving the house, I will get papered, 2 or 3 times just to satisfy him, lol,,,if he can handle the anxiety of it.
Well your point probably has a new distinction ..as the most photographed single point on record
Top in black now looks like the best top quality "glossy" pics in the expensive flint mags.
And the best is that your experimenting might still have a ways to go yet...the second pic shows a very prominant inclusion that never showed up before, nice, thats part of the beauty of minerals.
