ok, this is one we have hadfor awhile and just studied it as a mineral, but went back and started looking to see if it had been knapped.it has some appearance of knapping but not certain as we are nor sure if the natural mineral may "break" this way or not. Just something else to look at and talk about,ok. All opinions and comments welcomed.

I would gues NOT knapped just because a piece that big and flawless would have been a worthy candidate for a fabulaous clear point to someone.
So whats the diff between Quartz & Topaz ??
Google says;; Topaz is found in High temp Quartz veins and pegmatite. 8 on hardness scale ( quartz 7 ) colors from clear to blue. Siberian Topaz will turn clear from prolonged sunlight exposeure.
Quality Topaz is found in Siberia, Brazil and San Louis Potosi Mexico.
In the U.S. Colorado, Utah AND Mason County Texas around the towns of.....Streeter, Katemcy & Grit )
