Re: little white one

Might have been some little kids' toy ( when he wasn't seeing animals and faces in the clouds )

Re: little white one

Google "geofacts"
I think most of your posts fall under this category.
Keep lookin and you may find some points. good luck!

Re: little white one

ok looked up geofacts...was intersting...we are looking at the fact that the matates or manos are not indiginous to this area...cliche and limestone are the natural stones in this area. So that opens another question...how and who brought them in? How can weather, shape rocks in the dirt to fit the hand at different angles.

Mano & Matate not from your area were certainly trade items or "souvenirs" brought home from a far ranging hunting trip by Uncle Earwax. They ( cooks ) may have had to make do with limestone matates in desperation but there are very very few true limestone
Manos... Quartz, granite, sandstone, agate and W TX basalt are the most common desirable materials. Some are pecked to very exacting dimentions and must have been carried from camp to camp. Matates too big & heavy to transport.
All those "neat stones" you find in a camp area were brought home by someone that thought it was a neat stone to show Mom & Dad.
Any and all neat stones found anywhere outside a camp area are absolutly mother natures creation and it's very likely an ancient human hand never touched it.

Your getting deep into the kitchen appliances...The actual food preperation ( in some areas ) was one heck of a process.. Described in detail in
TEXASBEYONDHISTORY.NET

Oh for a blender

Re: little white one

just wondering if anyone else had any other opinions about this one? could it have been used for telling stories with or for some kind of ritual ceremony.....this was man made so still wondering.....you can see the score marks in the motuh area and the hand and thumb areas are too specific.....ok just asking again still curious about this one

Re: little white one

with as many mono's mortars and metate pieces you are finding the little white tools are pestals used in different proccesses.
