Man, I love that drill. What is it, a Fairland? Are most of the finds from that site as heavily patina'd?

I think its a Fairland and yes most to the points are sun bleached

Now thats my kinda drill. Plenty of hand hold and not an overly thin bit. very nice.

As you know Flo,,,Badger & I have been "into" white point sites for a couple of yrs now. Went from sun
bleached only to chemical bleaching...as a matter of general interest on your "white site",,,,try snapping a big white flake right in half...original darker flint color evenly on the inside = Chemical process. One side less original color ...sun bleached.

Why bother
Our findings were that chemical whites were NEVER found in the immediate area of a camp...BUT ALWAYS
in a washout / washdown location. SOOOOOooo, in theory, digging all whites might / should indicate that the heart of a camp was elsewhere.
