expert advise

Does anyone know if you can find Burlinton chert in Texas? I know alot of the nice paleo pieces north of us are made of it.

Re: expert advise

As a geologist, Burlington chert dose not occur in any natural outcrop in Texas. It is deposited in the limestones of Eastern Oklahoma, Northern Arkansas,West to central Missouri, and Eastern Kansas. Artifacts made from this material however, Have been found in Northeast Texas.

Thanks Mike

Re: expert advise

You are welcome friend, and I hope you still find a nice Agate Basin, or Sedalia point made from it!
