Yesterday's Dig

Did a private dig yesterday before the rain hit. The morning was slow but late afternoon we moved to a new spot and it started producing. Flicker found the serrated Frio and I got the Perd. A couple of ET's and a reworked and worn out Castroville.
Wish the little Perdiz had been whole, it was finely serrated too, and that broken Frio would have been a monster

errated too.

Re: Yesterday's Dig

Thats One sweet little Frio for the Flicker!

Re: Yesterday's Dig

It made her day. Thanks Mike. She was getting a little cranky towards the end till she found it.

Re: Yesterday's Dig

Yes, a justly due reward for a days efforts!

Re: Yesterday's Dig

Nice finds, too bad you didn't get on the good spot earlier in the day!

Re: Yesterday's Dig

I know it. The first spot we dug in had to be their dump for all the bone we found. I've had bones on the screen before but this time it was loaded with it. Figured to find a few broken tools there but the pickings were pretty slim. When we moved to the new hole that's when it got active........but too late in the day to make up for the mornings slow finds.

Re: Yesterday's Dig

I can just picture the whole family clan gathered around a delicious Buffalo feast, telling stories, grinding flour for the pecan pie desert, gran Pa and all the guys impressing everyone with knapping the biggest translucent points possible.

Then Mom says to the kids " TAKE ALL THESE BONES OVER TO THE LATRINE AREA BY THE POISON IVY AND FIRE ANT
PATCH AND DUMP THEM "

They DO look good ( how many dump truck loads would you say they represent ?)

Re: Yesterday's Dig

One fifth of the bone yard dump...Blades are frequently found around such a feast, only a few broken obvious
blade pieces were found, and one KK
