Need help with id for some fossils

Here's a couple Big snail things found in Georgetown. There was a bunch in a pile but these were the best. All of these fossils were found by flo-town digging with backhoes. He downsized and gave me these.

This is my favorite. There were maybe adozen of these round things in a pod together but these were stuck together and have always puzzled me. Any help would be great thanks.

Re: Need help with id for some fossils

Thanks for the help, flotown finds this stuff from time to time and if he has a few more I can talk him out of I will let you know. He was telling me about a real nice nautilus with all kinds of bumps and ridges on it he found one day. A guy at work ripped it off from him. Here is one I am going to try and salvage. Gotta knock the rock off but I think there is a nice one in there.

Re: Need help with id for some fossils

That dumbell a tough one, hard to imagine a creature with an outline like that. Finding original shell on fossils in this part of Tx is always a challenge..the minerals were just not good for replacement.
IF you were to dumb luck onto a Nautiloid with original shell, it might be a big surprise as to how VERY THIN the shell is for such a large overall creature..

CAUTION ... fossil collecting addiction takes up a huge amount more display and storeage space
