Here's me trying to get out of the ID business and I may actually ( possibly ) have ID'd a very elusive
creature.
See brought up posting " POINT IDENTIFICATION ASSISTANCE " BY DIGBROS... Read SILVER'S input.
Another Brazos "fishtail " ?? Hope so, thats a rarebe
All very impressive finds.
Just noticed...that one point has almost the EXACT base as Idahoe keeps posting every 3 months as a Mystery point. ( to see, type in " MYSTERY POINT " in Search block above )
Kind of a dumb question but what's it made of. I see the inclusions and it almost looks like petrified wood. Mabbe my eyesight is getting back in my old age. If a Victoria, then it'd put it in the early Archaic time frame.

looks like petrified palmwood Te. I have a couple of pieces that look like it(material not point)
Very nice point
I don't think's it's Palmwood. Just specks in the flint. Found near LaGrange Texas. If it was from East Texas I might think it was Palmwood. I haven't found any petrified wood points in this area. Of course I haven't hound any points like this at all. First one I've seen like this..
I posted my palm wood point here about a week ago. There's some palm down here in my area. The better of the petrified palm flakes that I've found look just like flint. Still, that's a neat point whatever category if falls into.
It may be Palm. I'm no expert about anything. It was found below a Darl layer. Not finding much. Just a pocket of points here and there. Gets boring then you find some then it goes dry again. Not much in the way of flakes. I hope to find some more like this and it's not just a 1-off. Going again in the morning. We'll see what happens.
