To recap for Newbies...last yr Badger & I did a serious dig out of the most insignificant shallow drainage in
the middle of nowhere after GeeTen reported he was finding some points in a drainage also nowhere near a known camp.
Turns out our wash has some deep areas up to 18 inches. No telling how ancients flash floods blasted through.
99% of the finds are bleached ( chemically ) white and all are " working class " field points, No long eared ceremonial Marshalls here.
A high percentage of the identifiabe pieces are at least middle Archaic...
Monday's endevors......
For a big change..I start out by finding the first piece.
It's a small but complete MARTINDALE ( old is good ! )
Badger cant stand it when I'm ahead...just drives her nuts so very shortly she evens it up..
Insitu ( as found ) just not in the wall.
A well worked down ( favorite ) Marshall
To let you know just how PO's she can get over the "arms race"...Very soon after the first find she kicked out a DOUBLE !
Seems like the impossible dream in a water wash
What irked ME about these kind of days is that she hadn't even finished her morning coffee
