I probably wouldn't have bothered with such a small rattler, I ran over him accidently and put him out of his misery. Im sure the ranch owner was happy to be rid of him, he raises goats on the property.

we saw two copperheads on a hike on friday, too pretty to kill even though one tried to bite me.

Yea that rattler is to beautiful to kill in my opinion, but nice flint . Proof that man is the most dangerous species on earth not a highly toxic reptile

No snake soup for me. He was a little beat up after the fight with my truck. Had rattler at the round-up one year. Not terrible.
