Apparently not all flint types react to sun and chemical bleaching. Consider some of the SW surface
finds that may have been exposed to brutal direct sun for hundreds of years and yet still have beautiful color.
All these white ones in this drainage are chemically bleached. It's Centx so probably a variety of Georgetown flint, near Black to translucent.
I'm going to try some experiments with various solutions said to affect color.
Dont hold your breath waiting for results, even chem bleaching may have to soak for a couple hundred yrs and I likely wont make it past 200
