not sure of material, need some help..this is before i washed it offafter washing it showed up alot darker when wet, has real co**** grain, has some particle in that shines and is very heavy for it size.
i believe that part of it maybe broke off on one end? not sure if the smaller stone would be the mano for it?

That sure is a nice one, if that smaller rock is smooth on the bottom side I would say they're a match. The material looks the same. No flint?

the bottom side is smooth, yes i found a few brokes and the one on the left i am calling a jetta? did not screen to long.

Almost more by description than the pics, that matate material might be dolomite. Dont find many of them whole,,,good material but brittle if abused and many pieces are found in camps.

after looking at all the different rock makeups i think this is most likely mica schist? we have several locations around here where it is found.
