EXTREME DIGGING

C3 this week found a family digging team, Shirley (with stick ) makes sure William doesn't slack off.

Ben joking around

Photobucket

NO JOKE ....Ben found this near smallest of the small bird points hand digging, no screening .

Photobucket

Badger helps with landscaping this area.

Photobucket

Shirley took a break and left Badger to make sure the digging continued at a good pace.

Photobucket

1/2 day finds, no completes and Badger's 3 pieces not included. We dug the remains of a surf & turf feast
but no cutting blades found.

Headin out

That whole area is what we call " digging in Indian country " meaning it's not an actual camp but they walked over it to get to the water or the next hunting
grounds. Dropped the occasional worked pieces.
Everybody finds something but never any quantity.
If you recognise the site ...in that pic of Badger with the umbrella....over the photographers left shoulder and a bit more up hill...Idahoe and I started that first dig the day before the 2009 Digfest
