Advice on finding areas around San Antonio

I am fairly new to the area and new to arrowhead
hunting. Does anyone have advice on how to
find places to hunt? Or any areas around San Antonio?

Re: Advice on finding areas around San Antonio

Hey Todd, I am near San Antonio as well. I have been doing a lot of searching for places closer to me as well. The best thing I have found to do is just immerse yourself in the arrowhead community and talk to as many people as you can. Almost everyone I talk to now I tell them I hunt for arrowheads hoping it will bring on new leads. Networking is key.

Re: Advice on finding areas around San Antonio

Thanks for the reply geeten. Have you or
anyone on the forum walked any creeks or rivers
around San Antonio? How do you know if it's
private land or state?

Re: Advice on finding areas around San Antonio

My advice would be to Google the rivers and water ways in/around San Anton and start in the places that have public access.

Re: Advice on finding areas around San Antonio

Don't be taking digging equipment, but a hike through Government Canyon State Natural Area could be productive.
