Here is a pic of my finds from Saturday digging with Flo-town & G-town. All in all was a good day with good rewards.
I was actually able to find both pieces of the point in the middle. Notice the color difference between the two pieces. I didn't actually think they were from the same point but the break matches perfectly. I am not sure what point type this is. Any ideas?
On the left, a Williams (being made into a graver), the Castroville point in the center is made from a very unique material (not sure what it is) and on the right another Williams.
That was pretty awesome putting that point together g10. You got so dirty by the end all I could see were your eyes in that black hole. Good show!
Yeah, I didn't realize I was perfectly camouflaged until I got in my car and looked in the mirror. I bet everyone got a good laugh at how dirty my face was. I was laughing as soon as I saw it.
Good day made from a " unique material "...now there's an intriguing observation...maybe send to the same rock specialists that Sandy uses for Her ID's
The point at top in top pic would seem to be sharpened down to a knife but it's pretty radical. Recently RGS came across a similar point that he was wondering if that was a rare non knife configuration.
