Fall Creek in Hood County

I found these screening today. Does anyone know what type of arrowhead this is?

Blotched watersnake

Re: Fall Creek in Hood County

C, checkout 'Lufkin' in the book. Listed E Tx ( NE maybe ) [:-Very nice finds.

If your going to use wildlife for scale, it would be nice if you could get some flint in the frame

Pretty creek scene, looks densely overgrown..snake paradise ..!

Re: Fall Creek in Hood County

Thanks SH!!! Which book are you looking in. I can't find it. :)

Overstreets' $$

Re: Fall Creek in Hood County

Nice Chris. Wish I coula made it but I was plowing a farm back home.

Re: Fall Creek in Hood County

Fear not Chris. Maybe we need to update our overstreer editions. I have the tenth and can't find lufkin either.

Re: Fall Creek in Hood County

Travis,I had to order the 11th edition through Barnes and Nobles. Doesn't seem like they keep them on the shelves.

where in Hood county?

My father also had a place on the Puluxy river, near the dinaosaur tracks. We never found a thing on that place but cactus, snakes & cedars.
Nice finds!

Re: where in Hood county?

Hmmmmm..... Perhaps the dinosaur tracks scared the Indians away! Realistically, I wonder what the Indians did think about Dinosaur tracks, even if they were noted as being old.

Nice finds

Re: where in Hood county?

Travis, I have the 10th addition as well. I need to update mine too. Its cool how that they come out with new types. I'm interested in reading about the lufkin point!! thanks for all the comments everyone!!

The current 11th also includes newly named AUSTIN - ******* & LUFKIN

Dont buy it just for the Lufkin C, that was just my guestimate since your find seems to have a bit of a
basal nub, bit more prominant in the Lufkin pics.

Always interesting to compare price differences in old & new editions

Wow, the censor is awake early this morning...doesn't even like the name in the Ovrsts book of that place 10 miles past Cantwells

Re: where in Hood county?

I collect arrowhead referance books too. I have some old ones that values clovis's at $12.00.

Is the newly typed ******* point in the new edition as well?

The censor won't let me state the name of the point but it starts with an O if that helps.

Re: where in Hood county?

Yep, sure is. Pages 665 & 666.

Re: where in Hood county?

Thanks!!! I just now figured out what SH was posting before.
