A treeless field in Texas on a summer day is the suns' anvil ...Looks like a field of canvas mushrooms.
This umbrella rig is really neat. 4 foot length of appropriate dia pipe with a floating 3/4 inch rod in the bottom. Pounds into the ground like a log splitter.
good hold against wind, easy removal
Travis 1 used a 'standard patio umby with the wide iron base. Did the job but a C-clamp worked better
as the base tends to get entombed in the sifted dirt.
backround is old junk umbrella used to keep direct sun off ice chests. Camp chair was a leftover from
more relaxed hand dig people
Best coverage option is a 10 X 10 portable pavilion.
This unit also turns a drizzly day into a dry hand dig day.( Or just to sit under and enjoy a cold drink )
Hal. I will soon be marketing portable AC field units with a generator purchase as optional equipment ! Do you think it will be a big seller? Just think. Drop the dirt in the top of the canopy then sit back and sift in the cool breeze. Killer !
