well after the digfest , I just couldnt get in the mood to back to work , so we stayed monday and dug, then I still couldnt get in the mood to go back to work , so we stayed Tuesday .
someone said to try the ridge a little ways up from the dig site, we hunted and found it, there were several spots right on the edge of the drop off. looked pretty good, two snail layers, dug down three feet or so , started into the wall, worked my way back probable four feet in , lots of flakes,
then I find it ! another one of those big ole rocks, so I start digging around it, first on top , then the sides, then the bottom ,
booyaaa , wow under this huge flat rocks, I found at least five feet of it side to side, there is about a twelve inch cavern under this rock, I go grab the flashlight, look under it, goes back in at least six feet, I see plenty of loose rocks, ok I have to see what comes out of these rocks, run back to the truck , grab a long handled claw, drag some rocks out, nothing yet,
then it happens , the claw comes scratching back to me, and guess what , there it is, blew my mind, didnt know what to do .
who would have ever figured , from under this ancient bolder, from within a small deep cavern under it, comes a dang ( COORS LIGHT BEER CAN )
did I mention my arms are still sore lol .
had a blast folks, met some great people, heard some fantastic stories , told and heard some funny jokes,
a special thanks to the fellas who threw Travis and myself in the back of the truck and gave us a ride back to the barn from Bills camp after we found our selfs soaking wet , muddy and smelling like two wet dogs from our great surface huning in the rain adventure lol !
