It WAS a big job, 3 1/2 hours in all. It wasn't just a request for " show your finds for 2011 " but it became a good chance to have an overall picture of what was in the sandwich bags.
It used to be a lot easier in past years, I had a longtime digging Buddy that helped with the setup. We had some leftover New Years champagne, a few laughs and the whole job was done in 1/2 an hour.
Unfortunatly for me, the "old buddy" is getting up in years and cant get around much anymore.
To add to this posting it might be of interest to revisit the days of old...

HOW IT WAS DONE

Drag all the appropriate rocks to a large space, like a driveway. ( toughest job was to find enough
backround material of the same color )



Now just find a way to get the entire layout in the picture frame, like using an 8 foot ladder or stand on the roof.



OR, back a vehicle up to stand on and get the "tailgate" for scale.

Some collectors call their finds 'rocks'...loading up after the pics I was wondering how much a cubic foot of
artifacts [ rocks ] weigh..?
