Labor Day 2012 Flint

Howdy Yall. I am an avid reader of the posts and love the website; thought I might post a few pics of some flint we found today at our place. It was nice to have the whole family out for bbq, a few beers and some diggin. The blade is paper thin and measured at 5 1/8th inches. Our place adjoins the Gault site, so suspect that the mounds and camp are wash down or part of that complex.

Re: Labor Day 2012 Flint

Now THATS a great reunion rememberance. EXcellent finds...isnt that something how the Marshall people knocked themselves out making excessively long barbs
on the points.
We all know the Gault site ...thats an awful lot of history in that area, anything is possible. Hope you give us another look at finds as the various BBQ's roll by..

For our readers that are still a little bit sleepy eyed and are giving this post just a quick look and are saying " so whats with the name " WILD ANDICE "
Go back to the top pic and take a good look in that display case ..

WOW..

Re: Labor Day 2012 Flint

Nice finds Wild Andice and killer andice in the frame.

Forty years ago I dug a couple of times at the Gualt site, amazing what is still to be found in the area.
