Looks like y'all did real good, sure like the shell fossil in the second posting
I arrived at the north end dig site at noon...the place was all abuzz with the Mickey blade find Danny has a moment of fame A BIG tip sticking out just like the Mickey blade was revealed....how big IS this one ? Aghhh...Big Montell missing a tooth... This was bringing crowds from the next county.... Frank found a Langtry Giganticus Dan got a two piece blade. Broken by the bucket ,,at least both pieces were found Florida Elaine This is not a one of a kind, several similar in size & design were found... Small Gower ? ...or a medium size Merrill ? Nice shady work area
That Langtry and Montell sure are sweet and came out of the same load of dirt i believe
great pics. looks like a good day . that langtry is super nice
James squints at Mickey's Langtry Assorted containers to hold finds > > > > Camp site right on Ant road.. So called "Ant Road " because of the big nest right in one of the wheel trackways.. ( R rut in this view ) They love Castrovilles ( tried to drag it down the hole )
YES! That's a great Merrel for sure, I'm very impressed after just learning that it's a newly typed point by Dr. Hester, et al.
I was kinda wondering about that one too. Square ears and Frio look put it as a good contender for a Merrill.
