First run of my new underwater camera...ran a parallel test to see how fish might react to different flint forms..
Blue Cat approaches for a look at a Castroville
just wide angle overall, Bass exiting....>
Merrill "Skyshot" ( camera laid on bottom on self timer mode ) To see flint, tip your monitor slightly,,look close
Montell ( note Bass leaving the scene ! they dont like broken tip )
Frio
Same Frio but this is the first time I tried the zoom feature ( telephoto )..
works good ( compare with above pic, the Bass just 'grew' 5 inches longer ! )
Tried a double lure,
WOW...I "found" 2 arrowheads on the river bottom
South view
Change location to the old flint washing area at mile 19 bridge..
Not IN the water...it was so shallow & clear, just dropped some bread crumbs in and let the top feeders see some flint
I didn't mention it til now but I found a big blade too...didn't want to take away from Mickey's blade finds.
Even though they are advertised as being Kid & nuclear bomb proof, I think the talcum powder digging dust found it's way onto the sealing gasket as the door is opened a lot.. LESS than a pinhole sized failure destroys the watertight integrity..
General purpose no problem as this bee found out when I kicked him out
I interupted morning breakfast for some of the locals..
I WILLNOT be needing the waterproof feature at THIS year's DF
