Only a day and a half after a 3 inch rain the roads were drivable ( for non off road vehicles ) except steep hills and occasional pooled low spots.
Avery, Spider & Badger walk to the Big Hole site. A good WX pattern will have the roads 100% good by the weekend.
BILL'S CAMP
Newly trenched, plenty of elbow room. I set up and took a half hr shot. Zip but I suspect there could be a worked piece about a 1/4 inch further in
BIG HOLE
Avery ( the Virginian ) Dug these from last years' DF site wall in just 2 hrs
POT HOLE CAMP
Surface cleared and TRENCHED...Badger checking Good looking exposed soil.
SURFACE HUNTERS
There's 408 acres that have been heavily rained on. All the newly trenched areas are a logical target but it's all Indian country !
Badger found the base of a big drill at Pot Hole....AND in that crashing rain Saturday, Avery found that blade now shown on the front page ( also at PotH )
There was running creek water along Bill's Camp & Paleo valley..Badger does some creek walking ( zip )
This is Avery, I mistakenly called him Adrian in another posting, ( I knew it started with an " A " )
Due to excessive $, could not change air tics from Virginia so he's just making the best of being a week early ( and rainy / muddy )...( after last years' flood he is well qualified )
Top pieces on the ' tailgate ' are from Saturday's rain digging...Th Darl blade is already at home in a case.
His Texas frame. Big Yarbough lower right is from Last years' DF
Everything is looking good,,,the food and the porta potties have been ordered.
The signs and the 'christmas tree' lights are up. Some wood is in the fire ring ( looks like no problem with fire bans )
At this writing looks like we could still use some more tables.
