When first found it was recognised as something unique, it's not a broken point with a notch. Must have been something used as a knife and resharpened
( very common for all types )
So the Q is what type ?
Here's the Andice base Nacho found a few weeks ago for comparison.. good notch
In any ID case I agree 100% with Nacho's final determination as he's had so many years experience exclusively in that Nueces valley..He settled on Andice...
However, once I get at least 50 miles away I can safely have my own opinions ...With all the flurry over "Bells" recently I had just seen the OverS examples...The piece in question is a dead ringer for the big $10,000 Bell at the bottom of page 553.
It's James' point, He's allowed to call it what he likes
Sandy, I found a point that on first glance Nach thought was a HellGap...then on closer inspection it had a Nolan Beveled base...AND a Pandale twist..
MrZip ( ambiguous name, means " fast or speedy " finder,,not lack of finds ! )
James....Compare with front page Mellisa picture format....Thats Mrs James on the cover ...
TWO noteworthy finds from two different dig sites in ONE week, in the same family Nice going.
Super excellent posting. Glad to see Roland back on the tables. Nice finds! Love the Andice. Great pictures. Wish I were three instead of Chicago. No flint in Chicago.
