Your correct on material, its from Tennessee. I'm told by people who know more about that areas material than I do that it's Dover chert. I paid 400 for it, the few people I have talked with about it seemed to think it was a steal. I am very happy with it.

Looking up your Clovis in the EC of the OvrS, we see there are 3 separate variations of a Clovis, local morphing ?... plus a straightforward reference to European ancestry..

I've seen a couple since moving to Montana, just don't know how prevelant they are in the area. With all the buffalo jumps around, I'd think they were more common, just haven't had a chance to check out the sites yet. Kinda hard to do with snow on the ground.
