Re: Some finds from my recent trip to TX

Nice finds! I really like the root beer color flint. The Pedernales has some beautiful markings!

Re: Some finds from my recent trip to TX

Whatta good show
Superb quality all, we have a pretty good idea what part of Tx you were visiting

Re: Some finds from my recent trip to TX

When I was in my hole, I looked over and saw that Kerrville Knife stuck in the wall. I got excited. If anyone knows what that small point with the extra tabs on it is called, please let me know. Thanks

Re: Some finds from my recent trip to TX

Eric, My guess would be a sabinal marcos with a little extra. Very nice finds!

Re: Some finds from my recent trip to TX

I am thinking mighty marcos, I know for sure each one of them are sure enough killers!

Re: Some finds from my recent trip to TX

Might be enough work on that Marcos to put it in the Eccentrics frame

Re: Some finds from my recent trip to TX

I agree,if a point is not a typical,or possible tang, it has to be classified as eccentric.

Re: Some finds from my recent trip to TX

Any ID on the big blade?

Re: Some finds from my recent trip to TX

Looks like a Ensor Knife and the one above it is a Kinney blade.

What county were you digging in?

Re: Some finds from my recent trip to TX

I agree Ensor

Re: Some finds from my recent trip to TX

R.Y
I agree Ensor

For the sake of peace & good will to point IDers on this Xmas eve..I agree with Ensor....Following is a pic of the blade just found by Jessie at C3.
The J blade came from a very well defined Ensor & Darl camp..

Photobucket

However ...From the looks of all the other pieces found, I suspect Erik was visiting well to the SW in a couple of areas we all know and love for it's abundance of Honey translucent flint....AND a very small Ensor representation..
IF it was mine I might call it an Archaic blade ( that looks a little like the old Gahagans used to )
