Those 3 letters immensely compound an easy answer....
In central Tx, October is thought of as being a good Wx time.
The " etc " is the wild card( REALLY WILD )
Depends on on where your dig area is located, N Tx can be having tornados in a blizzard while South Tx is having a drought that turns the ground to cement.
the biggest etc that I can think of is that when a good dig site has been opened,,,,They sometimes dont last long...Avid diggers go for it at any time of the year no matter what the Wx...( except in rain )
tip, dont hand carry your digging
