Webb County Surface Finds

I went hunting this weekend and ended up looking for points all Saturday. I found a ton in the most productive place on the property. Oil companies have cleared new roads for seismic surveys and they produced!!! However, I think a lot of points were destroyed (like the two tips from the perdiz and the perdinales). Enjoy.

Triangles and teardrops.

Re: Webb County Surface Finds

Good finds there. I moved up here to Montana from that area and those are like a lot of what I found. Those scraper are mostly Nueces River or Crescent scrapers. Some of the points are Matamoros, mabbe a couple of Tortuga's. Looks like you hit a camp site there. Might be worth checking it out every so often. Erosion will keep bringing up more.

Road kill points ?
A lot of "unstemmed" down that way except for the prolific Perdiz. I looked up Perdiz again in Dr H's book...Texas must have been one big happy family of Perdiz clan around 1500AD...the range is listed as all of Tx except the panhandle..into Mexico & Louisiana.
Good insitu's...Tks for the show
