very cool hal. thanks for the pics. after reading the cahokia info would you say they were a people group simiiar to the anasazi or mayan? ive heard a possible mayan or anasazi group that went extremely north.
When we visited Mesa Verde, the info there said the Anasazi were offshoots of the Aztec. The Aztec's were clear up into New Mexico, hence Aztec, New Mexico. I wouldn't doubt that some of the larger pre-historic civilizations weren't offshoots of Mayan, Aztec, Toltec, etc.

Te's input is good...Speaking only of what I know as a fact....They DIDNOT originate from Central TX where there is no evidence that anyone ( for 16,000 yrs ) ever put one stone on top of the other !
