Re: A WALK ON THE WILD SIDE

One of the perks of the rear seat passenger in a hunters' vehicle is a very close view of the noisy end of an AR15

 photo DSCF8196_zpsaa653d60.jpg

This cave has a rare hole in the roof, great smoke exit

 photo DSCF8190_zpsb869d6a5.jpg

This mortar boulder has two well used grinding holes, just to the side of the ceiling skylight.

Cliff's ideally positioned shooting gallery, rifles sighted in for 1 mile.

It's springtime in the desert too. This nail bush looks deceptively beautiful.

Another night, we assume the ancients lived like this every night ( except rain days )

 photo DSCF8255_zpsd8fc02f7.jpg

Time for show & tell of the days' finds. pic quality is terrible due campfire lighting....no "insitus", all were surface finds.

This is Daryls' G11 Marcos

Peggy went small & large...drill flint has that waxy look and feel

 photo DSCF8244_zps9e0f2465.jpg

Greg won the quantity award. That square item on the R is made of gritty sandstone and has a very definite worn area in the middle as a whetstone

 photo DSCF8246_zps6ec3a12b.jpg

Of all the quatdrillion stones out there Boyd spotted this inscribed one.

 photo DSCF8249_zpsbc1c2501.jpg

Boyd also got the heavyweight This blade preform was a good one

 photo DSCF8251_zps9ade9015.jpg

Coolest "surprise" went to Chuck...
He spotted an "unusual" looking rock, on closer inspection, the 3 blades on the L was right next to it...the pieces on the R was UNDER the rock. a TRUE Cache.

Boyds' combined finds

 photo DSCF8252_zps29748ed7.jpg

Steve, His wife and Sister made a peach cobbler for the crew...just like the pioneers did .....cooked in a cast iron pot with embers

 photo DSCF8258_zps4bbe206e.jpg

And this is the embers without flash
