The bird drill is my first intact drill. The other are some of my favorite finds at the ranch. Those who wonder if flint is sti there ask Craig about the spring in the very back of the ranch it has begun to produce some very nice points.

...Thats the 2nd bird point drill I have actually seen come out of Starr ( may be many more unreported )
And what were "drills" that small and fragile made for ? Earlier Archaic people consistantly made "drills" up to 5 inches but never any that small. Did the Bird people not have a need for drilling holes through 2 X 4s ?
