Robert Melton's at it again people. Robert and his wife tried to sell a bunch of fakes to Mark Adams. He lives in the Coryell County area, so watch out!!!
can you give us some hints on what to look out for... i myself wouldn't be able to tell a fake from a real one.. with some of the nappers out there.. some are that good!..
and i've seen points on here that are real, and the flaking is top notch..

Knappers that are deliberately intending to defraud are not only good knappers but good "artists"..with various chemicals & techniques to alter the exterior appearance.
It's very comparable with the drug trade...if there were no drug addicts, there would be no drug traffic....
Incredibly there is no shortage of people that buy on Ebay and similar public sales venues that keep criminal knappers working overtime.
Theirs alot to look for. The first things I focus on are flaking, typology, material and quality. Lots of flint is easily faked these days. The knappers are getting better and the technics are more sophisticated.
I don't know who Robert Melton is, and I never said he tried to sell me fakes.
I posted on another site a photo of a bunch of fake arrowheads that two women in Hewitt,Texas tried to sell me. I don't know who made them, maybe someone else knows more about these women being associated with a certain knapper, but I was just posting a warning about the two women selling fake arrowheads.
